4Good race boot
By James
For the price this boot offers a lot of protection: Achilles tendon, ankle twisting and rotation and shin guard. Bought these for mostly track use and occasional street use. Its comfortable on the bike, clearly not made for walking but not what I bought them for. Will be buying replacement toe sliders soon. Word of advice I bought the water / weather proof, they don't breathe the best but definitely keep your feet dry when it rains. For the price I'd recommend them, only item that could be annoying is after a while the hinges that prevent ankle twisting begin to squeak when walking, but with the limited walking I do at the track and on the occasional street ride its no big deal.

4Cortech Latigo WP
By Elemental
I've put about 500 or so miles in with these boots, being my first set of street boots I have nothing to compare them to, but I will tell you what I think

Heat: these boots aren't super breathe-able, your feet will sweat in the summer unless you are riding.

Sizing/Fit: I bought these because people were marveling at how wide the toe box was, it is pretty wide, but another half an inch would be awesome. My toes spread pretty far naturally, so they feel a bit cramped, not enough to make me uncomfortable, but just enough to notice. I bought these in a size 10 us (44 eu) and they fit fine, I typically wear sizes 9.5-10 so they seemed to be pretty on.

Comfort: These shoes feel fine while riding (the heat isn't that noticeable), mine broke in after about a week (Shifting was hard to get used to. A firmer area on top of the toe would have helped. I can't feel any feedback with the shifter but have just gotten used to that). I would not want to wa lk around in these boots all day during the summer, due to how hot they get, but they aren't bad for walking around for a couple of hours. I usually keep an extra pair of shoes at work to change into when I arrive (office job).

Noise: When I was shopping for boots the biggest complaint I heard was squeaking noise. After about a week they started to squeak, so I hit em with a spray of wd40 in the rubber joint area and they haven't squeaked in 200 miles.

Protection: In the little bit if dragging I have done these sliders have done well, I wish they were aluminum, but hey, they aren't bad for a $150 boot. I have not been in rain yet, but I hear they do a good job of keeping water out.

Summary: I like these boots a lot, they aren't ugly, or pricey, and they fit my wide feet very well. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy some... If you can find a pair.
