Great Helmet!

I love this helmet, the button flap under the chin is genious, it cuts wind down. I love the shade visor, it is so great that I can wear my prescription glasses under it. The flip up is secure and sturdy. The Wind noise is pretty loud but I ride at freeway speeds with no bike shield so it is going to be really windy. Modular helmets seem to have more wind noise in general but I wear earplugs anyways. I doubt, even if you bought a modular Shoei it would be quiet. For that reason I gave this high marks. Also, it is very comfortable, the padding is very sturdy, it does not feel cheep... and besides all this it looks sweet. One caution, DO NOT SET THE HELMET ON CONCRETE. The day I it arrived I set it, not dropped it, but set it on the sidewalk top down and it scratched the matte black finish right off in a small spot. So just be careful. Buy with confidence.

Great Helmet

I'm very happy with this helmet. For years I've had an open face helmet with a plastic shield and my face would freeze when riding in cool weather. I was afraid that a full face helmet would limit my field of view and make me feel enclosed rather than free (which is what riding a motorcycle is all about). I have to say that I REALLY like this helmet over my old open face helmet. It has good ventilation in the front and on the top. The interior is very well padded and the pads are removable so they can be washed. My favorite features however are the modular design (being able to easily flip open the front of the helmet is great), the dual visor is very cool. The shaded visor comes down far enough to keep the sun out of your eyes and the lever that operates the inside visor works beautifully. I do wish they had put it on the right side of the helmet and not the left (my clutch hand) but really that's just my preference. The matte finish on the helmet is gorgeous. I did see where one person had an issue when setting the helmet on concrete and the matte finish got scuffed, but honestly I any helmet that is scraped across concrete is going to at least scuff.

Surprise “5-star review”

I was super excited to get this helmet after reading reviews and visiting a local bike shop to try on similar products at twice the cost. It arrived at my doorstep super quick and after opening it, I was totally bummed to find my new beauty had an inoperable sun-visor. So, why give a 5-star review? Well, I was frustrated so I immediately contacted the seller (Amazon LLC.) and then waited for a response… in the mean time I started goofing with the helmet to see if I could figure out a fix on my own. I couldn’t get the right side of the visor to catch, so I called GLX directly to see if they could help me out over the phone. GLX offered to fix the issue at no cost to me even though I didn’t buy it from them directly, but told me to wait until I heard back from Amazon. While waiting for a reply I realized that I didn’t much care for the sun-visor anyway… and thought the helmet might be even cooler without it sense my sunglasses fit really well underneath anyway. Later, someone from Amazon called to discuss the issue and I explained that I really liked the product and would be willing to keep it "as is" and just remove the sun-visor all together if they’d be willing to work with me on some sort of partial refund/discount. Amazon and I worked something out that I found to be more than fair, I removed the sun-visor altogether, and now I absolutely love this helmet.

The helmet would get 4-5 stars on it’s own, but the level of customer service provided by both GLX and Amazon would get a 10-star if possible!

Anyway – great looking, fitting, ventilated modular helmet! I’d highly recommend…
